Does anyone have any experience of diving the lakes around the Germany /
Austria border? I'll be there - without a buddy - in the summer, near
Salzburg, and I can see there are several large lakes (Ammersee, Starnberger
See, Chiemsee, Attersee, Traunsee etc.), which might be nice ...

A few of my diving mates & I are 'toying' with the idea of buying our
own RIB at some point in the next 6 months.  'If' we do it will likely
be a 6m one with an appropriate braked trailer.

I am tempted to pick up a diving torch of some sort as I fancy trying
some night dives this summer, and was also thinking I could use it for
some dusk snorkelling on holiday.
What features should I look for and what sort of prices do these
