Has anyone ever removed the small black plastic studs that hold pockets ect
onto Buddy Bcds and wings?  Is there a special way to do it? or should I
just send the whole thing to AL Valves.  I want to replace two large pouches
with two smaller weight pouches.

I've had one of AP-valve's (excellent) DSMBs for a while - the one with
the little cylinder - however the valve got knackered, and
well-knackered at that: the knob just went round and roundl; pesumably
a broken shaft. They fixed it for a tenner including VAT and return

Hi, can someone help with some info please concerning the AI exam? I
know there is an open book standards exam to do at the end and a pass

have a redundant air supply instead of just an octopus.
Opinions please on which to choose and for what reason;
Pony, Spare Air or twinset? or just stick to buddy/octopus?

I've got 3 spaces on Saturday-Monday and 5 on the Friday left for this
trip. Plan is to dive wrecks in the 35m range, so suitable for Sports
Diver or equivalent.

presently issuing any directive re travel or not to travel.

Thanks to everyone who passed on details re Dive Centres in Sharm.
Whats the situation when taking dive equipmet to Sharm, Can you still
take regs and other equipment up to the 5kg limit in your hand luggage?
And would i be allowed to pack my dive knife in hold luggage.

I am looking to purchase a new dive compute.  I seem to have the choice
down to Suunto Vyper or the Apeks Quantum.  Please can anyone that has

Having just returned from an amazing weekend of diving on the south
coast, on what can only be described as lake like conditions, I
decided to try out my new Suunto Dive manager interface to my Vytec.
I did a mixed gas Nitrox dive (actually 2 mixes of 21%) to test out
