Europe or local to UK?

Inspiration13 Apr 2005 19:56 GMT45
I quite fancy "having a go" with an Inspiration - obviously I've had a look
at that Amazon program on TV and it's rekindled my desire. Maybe on my next
trip. So anyway, I had a look at a few websites to see how much these things
are likely to cost and to run.
Diving around Ireland12 Apr 2005 19:46 GMT7
Anyone recommend a good dive-site (down to 40m max) around Eire?
There have gotta be a load of good wreck dives off the west coast.

PADI or UK Certified?12 Apr 2005 08:52 GMT24
In UK I notice there are a lot of PADI courses and a UK type certification,
I wish to learn but able to use abroad in Thailand etc, most places seem to
accept PADI but not the UK, is the PADI transferable to go with UK certified
diving clubs?

I've just purchased my first dry-suit, a Northern Diver Divemaster neoprene

My question is do I need to wear a thinsulate or just a t-shirt underneath
it?

Are some of them using re-breathers?
I'm a bit fed-up with them going on and on about the dangers, but they are
finding some amazing things.
Compressor for self-fill09 Apr 2005 07:42 GMT2
Is it worthwhile/safe to put together your own fill facility?
I've got a brand new 3-phase Hydrovane compressor (incl 100l receiving
tank) that I bought for work and don't need after all.
Would it be just a case of adding additional filtering and suitable
Full Face Masks09 Apr 2005 01:45 GMT4
Hi, can anyone tell me if there is an actual requirement to do a Full face
mask course in order to use one , as you would if you were using a
rebreather.
If so, where/how could I find out about instructors in the UK.
How much for Kit for UK Diving?08 Apr 2005 19:04 GMT1
I am new to scuba in UK, and will be a part time sport as with family and
all that.
What sort of price should I be expecting to pay for Dry Suit, Air Bottles

Eardrums08 Apr 2005 14:48 GMT8
I have done diving before on holiday but only shallow about 5 metres or so,
I wish to learn but am worried about my ear drums as I burst them or
perforated them about 8 years ago, they seem ok now but feel they are
weakened and may not take deeper diving...
servicing an Inspiration ADV08 Apr 2005 12:16 GMT4
Hi, I have a rig on my bench with a dil freeflow.
When I took of the hoses from the ADV, the valve lever seemed in a
awkward position, and when I touched it, it fell of.
It is a Bob Howell design.

Sinai Divers or Sinai Dive Club?07 Apr 2005 13:13 GMT2
I have been recommended to use Sinai Diving in Shaem. There are two dive
centres, Sinai Divers and Sinai Dive Club. But which is which? Is one better
than the other?
Any thoughts / advice?
