What Insurance do I need as an open water diver, only diving in the UK. (Unless anyone knows 6 lucky numbers) From what I understand I need 3rd party and something to cover the cost of rescue, all my gear seems to be covered on the house insurance ?

I bought a divrite Rec wing a few years ago, thinking that it would be good to have a wing that is suited to single and twinset diving. However, since all of my diving is very much recreational, I'm looking at changing it to a smaller wing more suited to my type of diving. I

| Headaches & PFOs | 22 Mar 2005 19:13 GMT | 16 |
I'd be interested to hear what people know or think of headaches after surfacing. I used to dive in the UK in the early 1990's and always surfaced with a headache when diving from a RIB, and often at other times. Depths were

Hi. Does anyone have any ideas about how best to cut lead sheet? It's about 5mm thick and I want to cut some shapes out of it for dive weights. I think it's too thick for tin snips. Cheers,

Hollywood calling! Fabien Cousteau (le grand-son) got the Hollywood designer of E.T. "phone home" to build him a full-size swimming wet-suit/mini-sub Great White shark. He will be filming a new documentary and wants to swim undetected amongst them. His father's

| Backplate webbing | 21 Mar 2005 14:46 GMT | 36 |
I picked up a second hand blackplate (Portland 2), wing (DR classic) & harness (Diverite) a couple of weeks ago. The harness was badly frayed, so I chopped it up, intending to use the D rings and bits with a single piece of webbing.

| UKRS Weymouth 2/3 July | 21 Mar 2005 13:25 GMT | 16 |
As in previous years, we've got Woody's boat booked for the weekend of 2nd/3rd July. This has traditionally been the trimix weekend, but this year it seems that none of the usual trimix crowd can make it, and that includes me.

Simple as that. If you remember a while back there was the whole thing about the original low-profile dump valves being somewhat leaky - well mine started leaking and I got in touch with them. They said "send it back and we'll send you a new

| Uwatec aladin datatrak and memomouse | 18 Mar 2005 11:58 GMT | 8 |
I have read various posts from the past about the software and cables provided by uwatec. I have the cables for the old DOS system - but the software and backup software has either been lost or corrupted with moving house.
