Wanted my kit back!15 Sep 2004 21:52 GMT6
Wanted any information on the thieving little sh.ts who robbed my dive kit
from the back of my car on Tuesday 14th September around midday at Dinas
Rock, Glynneath, S.Wales. In the bag were 2 sets of poseidon regs, force
fins, jump reels, greenforce torch, farrworld cave diving ...
St Abbs15 Sep 2004 09:40 GMT8
Just got back from my first trip to St Abbs, and was very impressed.  I
haven't seen that many soft corals, etc anywhere else I've dived in the
UK. To top it off I even saw and played with an octopus during a night
dive in Greenends Gully.
Weezle Woes14 Sep 2004 23:15 GMT28
Anyone here have problems with their Weezle undersuits and cuff dump valves?
I am not looking for another run of the great debate of cuff vs shoulder
dumps - but anyone with a good suggestion how to overcome the problem of the
Weezle "sticking" to the valve and blocking it thus ...
Diving Forum14 Sep 2004 13:20 GMT34
I've been playing around with some forum software and as I'm returning to
diving after a long break I thought I'd set it up for this.
Would anyone mind having a look at http://divernet.forumflash.com and
commenting on the sections etc (there are no posts yet).
Why Velcro?14 Sep 2004 12:47 GMT7
The velcro has worn out on my dry suit pockets. The suit is only a year old
and it means I'm now at risk of losing the contents of the pockets when I
dive (mask, 2 x smb's spare reel, budy line etc). I'm not a fan of the strap
on leg pouches and would rather get a couple of press ...
O2 analyser cell testing?14 Sep 2004 11:47 GMT4
I've a feeling that the O2 cell on my (home built) oxygen analyser is on
it's way out (Teledyne R17 MED).
Does anyone know what sort of output I should be seeing when tested with a
multimeter? - The specs say 7 - 13 mv in air, but I guess there must be a
Computer And No Console14 Sep 2004 11:30 GMT23
I'm relatively new to this group so I'm sorry if this has been covered.
I thinking about getting an air integrated wrist-top computer, an Oceanic
Atom, and using that without a console.
As fas as I can see this is a reasonable idea to cut down on bulk and weight
Vytec or apeks quantum14 Sep 2004 10:34 GMT5
Currently have the vyper- did think about going to VR2 but cannot justify
it.
Now looking at either vytec or quantum- diving to 40m on nitrox and single
deco gas- either 50 or 80%.  Limited deco probably no more than 20 mins.
Red Sea Guides On Web?14 Sep 2004 06:52 GMT1
Off for first trip to Sharm on 27th, has anyone come across any decent web
sites that have wreck guides / sketches / maps for Thistlegorm, Dunraven etc?
TIA
Garry.
Apex Quantum Scratch Guard14 Sep 2004 02:43 GMT2
Anyone know where I can get a scratch guard for the Apex Quantum, or a
manufacturer at least?
Cheers
Apeks Low Profile Autodump...13 Sep 2004 21:35 GMT19
After several months of not seeing what the problem is with Apeks Autodumps
I'm starting to get a damp left arm...
...so now I'm sitting here with the autodump on the desk in front of me.
Anyone taken one apart?  Do they come apart?  Does it involve a hammer?

Diving Courses in S.Wales12 Sep 2004 21:10 GMT4
It's been along time since I dived ... 27 years in fact.
I got a little way along the BSAC route at that time completing my open
water license.
Just come back from holiday in Turkey and used the excuse of my 14 yr son to
