| Hilton Sharks Bay Dive Centre? | 09 Aug 2004 21:37 GMT | 2 |
Just booked a week at the begining of November at the Hilton Sharks Bay. From what I can gather the Hilton has its own dive school. Anyone know what its like? I am a newly qualified PADI OW diver, so not looking for anything too technical.

Anyone got any thoughts on what Sharm will be like in November. Looking to book for a week at the Hilton Sharks Bay and the earliest we can get is November now. What will Sharm be like then? Water temp, visibility? Crowded? Air temp?

I'm off to Egypt (hooray) and am likely to do a few night dives. Is it really necessary to have more than one torch with you or do people generally dive with just the one? I'm taking two with me but would like to know what others think as Ive

| Visual or Hydro - Hydro after test expiry | 06 Aug 2004 19:16 GMT | 4 |
Following an earlier thread, I have just taken my tank to be tested (to a test station - not a dive shop than sends them on to someone else) Last test was a hydro which was valid until feb 04 so the cylinder is out of test (by old standards). I was told that I therefore needed a ...

| life of a cylinder | 06 Aug 2004 15:30 GMT | 20 |
Assuming good care of a cylinder (i.e never empty etc) how long would you expect it to last before it fails a test? After how many years would it be worth considering replacement rather than retest (or just retest till failure?)

Are there any sort of "set" dates for any of the regular trips? I want to do the St Abbs and Eyemouth thing again next year but I don't want to tread on anyone's toes, if you get my drift. So apart from Icebreakers, who has what weeks/weekends marked on the
