My wife and I are hoping to do our advanced OW in Sharm in 3 weeks, we did
our OW there this June.
I realise that I need the "Advanced adventures in diving" for the course but
do we need one each? do you have to complete any knowledge reviews like for

I have just been reading an article about dive watches and especially the
techie diver ones with the helium escape valve.  This advert says open the
valve on the way back up.  How the hell does the helium get into the watch
if you are breathing it?  Surely this is for use in a ...

I have not dived the coast of Yorkshire before and will be near Whitby and
Redcar this weekend. I was wondering if anybody could tell me a little about
any shore dives - I dont want to have to hire a boat in case I can't make
the dive afterall - so a walk in shore dive would be best ...

If you have a empty BOC cylinder (D size?) can you just exchange it for a
full cylinder?
Is there cylinder rented, or do you just buy the first cylinder and then pay
for a fill on an exchange basis?

Having never dived Falmouth before, we just got back from a 5 dayer diving
with Deep Blue & Seeker.
HMS Eskdale MTB, 72m.  Upright.  Pretty much intact.  Excellent viz, many
shells, torpedoes still in tubes.

Apologies before I begin but could I seek some advise, I am considering
upgrading from Suunto Viper to Vytec or VR2- ability to handle 2/3 mixes is
required for the type of diving I am now doing.  I am tempted by VR2 but
think the vytec might be a better option.

the diving is like. was told that there is a dive centre in hotel called
baracuda. any info appreciated.
