Medical O208 Feb 2004 21:33 GMT31
Our club has two O2 kits, one small old one with a pin index fitting,
and a new one with DIN fitting.  The old one is a bit low after an O2
course, the new one has never been filled before, and we've been
trying to get them filled.

Olympus digital camera question07 Feb 2004 16:13 GMT1
Well I've got shiny new 5060, with housing, plus YS60, plus digital
adaptor.
One thing I can't work out how to do is set the custom white balance. The
manual is hopeless. I can find the menu option, I select it but then don't

PADI "sanctioned CPR program"06 Feb 2004 20:32 GMT31
After getting stuck on diving last summer, I was thinking of doing a
PADI Rescue Diver course around Easter once the skiing season is over
-perhaps on a trip to the Red Sea. One of the prerequisites to this
course is that you must have "completed a sanctioned CPR training course

Questions for Dive Quiz05 Feb 2004 13:39 GMT15
I'm organising a quiz for my dive club's monthly social. The club consists of
mainly PADI recreational divers with a few instructors and teckkies.
Any suggestions for quiz questions greatly appreciated; please ensure answer is
100% correct to avoid me making a pratt of myself!
Boat Handling with / without VHF?05 Feb 2004 13:08 GMT46
I'm going to be doing a Boat Handling (BSAC / RYA) course towards the end of
February, so that i'll have got some experience before using our club RIB in
Oban over Easter.  I was planning on doing the VHF (well, its not called
that anymore but you know what I mean) course sometime ...

more disposable cash.
Out of test tanks04 Feb 2004 09:11 GMT7
On the way up to Icebreakes I dragged Danny off to help
me pick up some vintage equipment I bought on Ebay.
I've now got round to looking at the cylinder and although
it has gas in it the cylinder body itself is totally  innocent of
I love dry-gloves!04 Feb 2004 00:34 GMT6
Just a new bit of the "DSMB inflate in cold water - purging" thread.  Was at
Stoney today, and on a bit of a spur of the moment thing got some
dry-gloves, and I have to say they are lovely!  Hands were fine through the
dive, although they were only short (30mins) hands were only ...
Dry Suit Advice03 Feb 2004 18:36 GMT17
OK, guys, time to give some advice to one of the colonists.
I'm not entirely sure why, but I'm considering a drysuit.  For no particular
reason except I once saw one and it looked reasonably streamlined, I think I
want a membrane suit.  Because I hunt lobster and the rocks they hide ...
