buddy commando bcd repair15 Feb 2004 21:33 GMT6
Does anyone have any experince in repairing one of these jackets.  I sued
the jack yesterdy and the inflation/deflation point (where you add air into
the jacket) the deflation point is now really leaking air contionously.  I
guess this can be repaired but does anyone have an idea ...
quick question for PADI instructors15 Feb 2004 15:07 GMT19
Quick question for any PADI instructors out there.
I recently completed my PADI OW, Adventure diver, and then my AOW in Spain,
barring the piece of homework for the photography dive, as between
completing the dive, and doing the work, my bag was stolen with my

Anybody know if there is an underwater housing available for the Olympus
E20. I can only find the flexible plastic Ewa-marine one on
Camerasunderwater. Was looking for something by Ikelite or Aquatica to house
this baby.

UKRS Teignmouth15 Feb 2004 00:31 GMT6
I am in the early stages of organising a trip on Teignmouth, south Devon
on the 31st July/1st August. Diving will be wrecks in the 30-40m region.
Price should be 30 quid a day, which makes a nice relief from Weymouth
prices.

The Sterling / Dollar exchange is better than its been for years, so is this
the  year to head for the Caribbean. Any recommendations? And advantages of
doing it as an independent traveler?

Proper Light14 Feb 2004 18:09 GMT5
As I don't fancy eating my body-weight in carrots on a weekly basis, I
figure that one of my next purchases is going to be a good
torch/light/lamp/call it what you will.
Unlike other recent posters I have absolutely no idea on this, none

Regulator - Wrong Present??14 Feb 2004 12:31 GMT29
With a bit of advice from this ng, I bought Janet a Suunto Geeko
computer and a Scubapro Regulator, (1st & 2nd Stage), for her birthday.
She was really pleased and surprised!!
I left the fins, mask and snorkel for her to buy, as she needed to be
Another Torch Question14 Feb 2004 09:36 GMT8
off to buy a bit of kit this weekend and looking to invest in a main
and back up torch. Ideally I'd like a main torch that can do most
things and cater for most environments and recent dive shop excursions
have indicated that the Kowalski quick charge model (620 I think)
Diving in the Medes Islands13 Feb 2004 19:53 GMT2
Off to the Costa Brava for a family holiday in May/June - staying in
L'Escala near(ish) the Medes Islands - as a recently qualified OWD I'm
thinking of either doing AOWD or just a few accompanied dives whilst there -
any recommendations as to dive schools, and is AOWD the way to go? ...
small smb for travelling???13 Feb 2004 18:58 GMT2
Due to the restraints of luggage allowances my dive gear alone gets a
huge chunck of the allowance and so some things always have to be left
behind!!Since I am going away and planning on some drift dives I would
really like some form of smb. I know i could hire one but if i can get
Go Dive - rip off shipping charges?13 Feb 2004 09:21 GMT14
Am I the only one who gets a bit peeved with online retailers who charge
extortionate amounts for delivery in order to make the prices on their
products look cheap? Take Go Dive, for example - visited their website and
noticed that they're knocking out Apeks DS4 first stages for ?69 ...
Lanzarote Diving?13 Feb 2004 08:50 GMT13
In an effort to keep 'er indoors happy, I'm being forced into a week's
holiday in Lanzarote. We'll be staying in Puerto Del Carmen - is it worth me
sneaking my dive gear into my luggage? Anyone have an experience of diving
in Lanzarote? Any good dive centres in Del Carmen? Anything ...
