| low volume mask? easy to clear? | 25 Sep 2003 16:26 GMT | 7 |
Does anyone have any idea which is the lowest volume mask avaliable? (on the basis that the lower the volume the easier it is to clear) I know that it also depend on fit, but if I can get some idea of what some of the lowest volume masks are, the it at least gives me a starting ...

| My little pony | 25 Sep 2003 08:54 GMT | 4 |
Guys, I'm hoping one of you with a physics/maths bent, if you'll pardon the double entendre, can sort out my confusion. As I'm now diving regularly to 30+M I decided to invest in a pony as I

| Uwatec Memomouse and Infra Red transfer | 24 Sep 2003 19:50 GMT | 3 |
I am thinking of buying a Memomouse, but all I can find out about them on the scarce info on the internet (even Uwatec site has virtually no info) is that are linked to computer with a serial link. Is this correct? My laptop has no serial port, and hardly any lappies are sold with ...

| Soft drysuit gell seals | 24 Sep 2003 13:44 GMT | 1 |
A while back one of the diving magazines (I can't remember if it was Dive or Sport Diver) featured some gell drysuit seals in their equipment review section. The seals were meant to be put on first, before the suit, and claimed to provide a better seal and make latex seals less ...

Hear ye! For I today have completed the following: sworn at my VR3, bimbled around in 3m of vis, huffed and sweated from car park to water's edge and back, pushed a fuel cell to the brink of its usefulness[1] and survived a dodgy looking bacon sarnie[2].

| This post is actually about diving. | 23 Sep 2003 09:30 GMT | 5 |
Quite chuffed today. Picked a dive site out of dive dorset yesterday (US tank landing craft off chesil beach), went to the car park, took the co-ordinates, kitted up and walked a ridiculously long way to the water. Rested. A lot. Then got in with the most unflattering entry we've ...

A few folk have asked me about arranging a weekend at Dotty. I was there yesterday, Viz is poor above about 30M, too much algae, but below that it's crystal. Water temp at 50M = about 8 or 9, but for the deco stops, a nice toasty 16 ish.

| 232 or 300 bar | 22 Sep 2003 18:11 GMT | 6 |
Does anybody have opinions on the merits of 300 bar vs 232 bar cylinders and regulators? The higher pressure equipment obviously means more air but I've not seen many people using 300 bar so I would assume there must be some significant
