Trip Report - Bonaire 03/200728 Apr 2007 05:35 GMT17
Overall, a very good trip.  I really love Bonaire.  My first trip
there was with a large dive shop group over New Year's, and I didn't
get out much.  This time it was just the two of us, doing our own
thing, and I had a much better time.

My wife and I are planning a trip to either the S. Pacific or Thailand.

great beaches and friendly locals. We don't need a five star hotel but would
like to be comfortable. We also do like to sunbathe in the ...

U/W photography in Sipadan & Layang Layang06 Apr 2007 19:32 GMT5
I'm heading to Borneo in late May - plan is to spend 4-5 days diving
in Layang Layang, and 4 days in Sipadan.   The goal is u/w
photography.  At LL & Sipadan, I want the "big stuff" - sharks, mantas
& more.  I'll also do a day of macro at Mabul.

What is the best time of year to visit the island when all the hammerheads
are around and visible? What do you think of the end of December?
Thanks in advance

Solomon Islands cultural question01 Apr 2007 08:12 GMT11
I'm off for the Solomon Islands soon. I have a cultural question for folks
who have been there. The books all say that if you visit the villages, which
we will, people will give you presents and that you should be prepared to
reciprocate.  But they don't give any clues about what ...
