When I was working for a living, I wasn't even aware of such a Festival
in Cozumel because I was always busy at that time of the year.
Baited by a PSA by Dan Bracuk in 2002, Sue and I joined Dan and Patti
in the 2003 Mardi Gras.  Dan's report:

I know this is long shot but can anyone recommend a place to stay in
Palawan near Coron Bay (near enough to dive it a few times a day)?  The
only places I've found so far are pretty steeply priced even by American
standards.  Anybody even been there?

I was wondering if anyone out there actually collects tropical strays
north of Florida while diving or snorkeling.  I have been snorkeling
and collecting for years in NC and Va.  Last summer, I caught my first
lionfish in about six feet of water.  Normally, I catch blue angels,

HI, We just returned from an unbelievable stay in Guanaja, Bay Islands of
Honduras.  We stayed in a villa that is built on a reef, so you are right out
over the ocean! The view is awesome and there are only 4 guest rooms, each
with a private balconey. Great diving right off the dock ...
