Calling Australian Scuba Divers08 Feb 2008 15:52 GMT10
Are there any Aussie divers here and have you thought about
subscribing to aus.sport.scuba? My name is Danny and I'm a PADI rescue
diver. I recently emigrated over to Australia from the UK. I'd like to
get some news from Australia without having to trawl through all of
A disturbing group08 Feb 2008 15:51 GMT4
SCUBA divers are probably not what you think they are.  If you are

PLEASE - Reef Rescue needs your help08 Feb 2008 14:57 GMT3
Many members of this newsgroup, including members that have never dove
South Florida, have made generous contributions to Reef Rescue, for

grateful: Reef Rescue has used these donations to stop the dumping of

Actor Donald Sutherland "nearly died" of a burst blood vessel in his
lung.  He had been diving on location for the movie Fools Gold.  His
doctor apparently told him that he shouldn't be diving past age 50.

Boat equipment07 Feb 2008 15:06 GMT20
Does anyone have any reccomendations on a boat ladder ? I am looking
to buying a boat this spring and it wouldn't hurt to put a ladder on
it since I doubt I'll be going on any dive trips for a while.

One of the best links I've seen for understanding guns.06 Feb 2008 23:16 GMT11
On several occasions, we've pointed out that almost everything that's been
said against guns comes directly from those most ignorant and fearful of
them. What we have not done very well, until now, is direct those that are
ignorant to information that can help them understand and ...

I have a question for all.
As I am getting ready to dive, I have before me a weight belt, a BC with
tank, fins, face mask/snorkel.
In what order do these go on?

This has been discussed from time to time on the ScubaBoard and I thought it
would be interesting to get the whole story and backstory from the author of
the Outside Magazine article, Tim Zimmerman.
I first read the article when it came out, then immediately went back and
