Are divers supposed to tip the divemaster & boat crew?17 Nov 2007 04:15 GMT34
I am going scuba diving in Central America.
Is it customary to tip and the divemaster and/or the crew of the boat?
If so, how much per day or per dive?
Thank you

Any special precautions needed before I leave for Belize from the States?

Single tank wing16 Nov 2007 23:32 GMT106
My back cannot put up any more with my double LP 98's and for the next
diving season I am considering to break them apart and dive them as singles.
I never used (or even seen in use) single tank wings and I am wondering what
is good out there. Halcyon's Eclipse looks nice but its ...
Key West sites16 Nov 2007 22:45 GMT8
Hello everyone,  New to the group. I do read a few underwater blogs
and forums, and now here too.  Headed to Key West in a few weeks with
a HD camera crew.  Anyone wish to suggest some fav dive locations?
Will be in Key Largo also, but Key West is where we need some input.
Nikon Professional Digital Camera16 Nov 2007 20:31 GMT4
When it comes to professional-grade photography equipment, Nikon has
been the top choice for many professional photographers. The choice of
a Nikon professional digital camera  is not made according to price,
because they are not inexpensive, but it is made for quality,

I'm new to scuba and would like to buy a tank, but am unsure of what
tank valve type I need.
I have a set of TUSA regs with a TUSA 1st stage. The only markings on
the 1st stage are:

Nitrox cert update12 Nov 2007 18:39 GMT283
After doing a bit more research it looks like "most" of the Nitrox courses
being offered "online" must be completed with hands-on use of an analyzer at
the dive shop offering the course.  So, yes you can take the course online.
No, you will not get a certification card until you ...

Thanks for serving.  Regardless of country, you did something others

Wetsuit fitting11 Nov 2007 21:15 GMT45
Originally, I went over to my LDS and tried on a 5/4mm Bare wetsuit.  It was
snug all around, with the exception of the small of my back.  It was also
very hard to get on.  I must have jumped up and down for 5 minutes just to
put the crotch into place not to mention getting my ...

Another Super Dive Week11 Nov 2007 04:22 GMT8
Weather's been great.  The crowds are gone.  Diving is excellent.
Went to Wazee for a couple dives on 10/28 then again on 11/2 and 11/3.
Water is perfect, fish are abundant, there are no flying insects, suiting up
is comfortable with the cool weather, and there are no divers ...
