Looking for suggestions on good places for open water PADI dive14 Jul 2007 01:41 GMT29
I'm trying to get a couple of friends together (we live in different
places) to get our PADI certificates then take our open water dive
together someplace nice.  Any tips / suggestions?  We all live on the
US East coast and are looking for a nice place to dive / relax

all criticism will be ignored. I know they aren't great but I said I would

which was great in live view, a gorgonian fan ...
Any underwater lights with electronic switch?13 Jul 2007 20:28 GMT28
This might seem like an odd question, but I'm interested in obtaining
some sort of light that I can install in a tank that can withstand
pressures of up to 500 psi.  The first thing that came to my mind is
to buy a dive light, but I need this light to be either electronically

Cobalt Coast trip report13 Jul 2007 02:48 GMT61
As Scott, the devoted patriot as always, will undoubtedly be flooding
the newsgroup with hundreds of offtopic threads in the next couple
days, I'll try to balance things out by posting yet another trip
report, and the second trip report on Cobalt Coast in as many weeks.
Jellyfish Population Explosion Leads To New Use For Waste Creatures12 Jul 2007 15:45 GMT2
Amid growing concern about how to dispose of a booming population of
jellyfish - including 6-foot-long monsters weighing more than 400

Lake Travis, the good comes with the bad12 Jul 2007 02:47 GMT4
The temp at 70 is 80.  There are no boats in the water.
Viz is about 5 ft (okay, not sure if that's a good or a bad).  Unless
you're divig dry with a FFM gamma globulin is not a bad idea, along
with about two weeks of doxycycline.

Rebreathers11 Jul 2007 21:34 GMT11
I never thought it would happen, but I am considering purchasing a
rebreather for underwater photography and I wanted to get some
feedback from the folks here about whether or not that is a good
choice for me.

Turks & Caicos Explorer II - review request10 Jul 2007 21:53 GMT3
I am thinking about booking a holiday on the Turks & Caicos Explorer II. I
can not find any reviews for it on-line.
Have you been on it or know someone who has? What did you think of it. The
only review I found rated this vessel a 4 out of 10 which is not promising.
