cholesteatoma and diving31 Dec 2006 08:15 GMT3
Hi, I have always been very interested in diving and have been looking
forward to my first chance for years. Unfortunately about two years ago
I had cholesteatoma. The surgery went flawlessly and I managed to
retain a great deal of hearing as well. The problem is that I was just

Need help - Opinions on Scubapro MK 10 Regulators??28 Dec 2006 11:48 GMT2
I'm fairly new to SCUBA & have the opportunity to buy a Scubapro MK 10
Regulator with G-250 2nd stage in like new condition for $150 (at this
stage, I'm looking to buy used stuff out versus something new out of
the box).  I know that this is a fairly old setup (I haven't been able
Water temps Turks & Caicos?28 Dec 2006 02:04 GMT17
I'm off to the Caribbean in 2 weeks time. What water temperature can I
expect? In the Bahamas in August it was warm enough at 29C/84F just in
shorts but I'm expecting quite a bit cooler in January.
Will I need a full 3mm suit or might I get away with a shorty?

Advice on Suunto Mosquito27 Dec 2006 21:28 GMT8
I am a newly qualified OW diver looking to get my first computer.
Looking at computers on the market I have been eyeing up the Suunto
Mosquito.  It has all the functions of the Vyper but in a package that
i can wear on a more day to day basis in between dives.  My only

Virtual Fireplace25 Dec 2006 22:05 GMT6
Every year, one of the local channels broadcasts a virtual fireplace,
complete with Christmas music.  I don't particularly care about the music
one way or the other, but I'd love to have an mpg or other video format of a
burning fireplace.  So far, I've not been able to find ...
Not too shabby in Maui today22 Dec 2006 22:18 GMT12
Did three dives with Ed Robinson's.  A little choppy on the way out
this morning, but the wind soon died and the seas with them, ending the
day with perfectly flat, lake-glossy conditions.  I've never
experienced that in Maui.
