diving on kauai13 Jan 2006 19:09 GMT8
I'm leaving for Kauai in a couple days and I'll be there a week.  I
recently got my NAUI certification and I'd like some recommendations on
Dive companies on Kauai.  I'll be staying on the South Shore at Poipu
but I'll drive anywhere for a good dive.

Well folks, the semester ended on the 16th, but we've been on vacation
since then, and my laptop was in the shop for a week (don't use
CompUSA).

Diving the Red Sea, Egypt11 Jan 2006 20:50 GMT2
I plan on spending a few days on the Red Sea in Egypt in mid-March
doing some diving. I know nothing about the region other than the fact
that it's a premier dive spot. Where are the best places for diving? I
will probably have three nights there. Thanks for any information!
Best fins for frog kick?11 Jan 2006 19:31 GMT10
Aside from the SP Jet fins and IDI Turtle fins, which fins are best for
frog kicks?
I'm asking because I already have the SP Jets and IDI Turtles, but need
to find a lightweight alternative for remote destinations. I was
Issues with boyancey09 Jan 2006 13:43 GMT7
Ok, this is the craziest thing, I think i've run into.
I am a novice just starting out in diving, (I acutally haven't
completed my course yet )
I have this crazy problem where I can't float like "normal" people.
Two scuba related questions (now that's weird)07 Jan 2006 17:14 GMT35
Question 1,
Are face masks with purge valves an advantage??
I see they are becoming less common and harder to find. I have never
used one, but thought the basic idea seemed sound. What's your opinion?
Well, what about that tank of hot?07 Jan 2006 14:34 GMT22
A tank heats when filled.  Where does the heat come from?  The air going in
is 70 degrees, the tank is at 70 degrees, how come the tank gets warm?
Could it be the motor used to drive the compressor gives off heat or the
compressor cylinders moving in the sleeves create friction heat ...

Can anyone point me towards a driver download upgrade for the Uwatec
Memo Mouse?  I checked the Scuba Pro web sight and it mentions periodic
upgrades for the memo mouse, but I can't find a link anywhere on their
sight.  Thanks for any help you can provide.

Western caribbean cruise05 Jan 2006 00:25 GMT6
Need some info on diving in Belize, Grand Cayman, Cozumel, and Costa
Maya. I'm going on a cruise to these locations in Feb. and don't want
to be stuck with the cruise line's diving excursions. Any
recommendations on local operations, dive sites, etc... would be

Let's tap that tank of cold02 Jan 2006 06:13 GMT13
A filled scuba cylinder sits at room temperature, say 70 degrees. When you
open the valve air escapes and the cylinder begins to cool.  Where does the
cold come from?  The tank and air in the tank are 70 degrees, the air in the
room is 70 degrees.  Where is the cold being stored?  ...
