upcoming trip31 Dec 2005 03:59 GMT7
Hey all, after today I'll be away for a week or so.  The Mrs. and I will be
heading to Vegas for five days of heathenism.  Unfortunately, I don't think
we'll get any diving in, but we'll try to have a good time anyway.
Any suggestions for good Texas hold 'em tourneys?

DIN or yoke on personal compressors31 Dec 2005 00:27 GMT11
I know that yoke is the predominant style tank in the dive
industry. But I am guessing that divers that own compressors

Cruise ship diving29 Dec 2005 04:32 GMT50
I'm going to Bermuda on a Royal Caribbean ship. I cannot find any pricing
info ($$ for 2-tank dives + gear rental.) I know that local dive operators
would be better and less crowded, but the ship docks at the Dockyards, so I
would need to take a ferry to Hamilton... Any thoughts?
marking line on scuba reels28 Dec 2005 02:28 GMT4
Not sure anyone here will be able to help but I have a marine
application that a scuba reel would be PERFECT for. Specifically a
mcmahon. The only thing I'm stuck on is I need to find a way that I can
mark about 10 metres along it in a permanent (and as professional as
restoring ROY G BIV26 Dec 2005 15:42 GMT2
is there a computer program out there that can restore color lost from
increasing depth. I know Photoshop working with layers can put color
back in but it's a long and tedious process. I use Elements 4.0 but am
willing to try most any thing...
Dive flags25 Dec 2005 04:57 GMT11
Like many people, I was treated to visual coverage of the recent plane
crash off Miami.  Before I changed channels, I saw a number of divers and
boats off the breakwater outside Miami.  But I saw no dive flags, at least
none that were at all prominently displayed.  I had the sound ...

Not Happy Holidays
I want to extend to all ( and I mean ALL (not just my arguing buds) a
very MERRY XMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR.  I may be off for a few days and
do not know what my connectivity will be. My daughter and son had a

I've only had ~15 minutes to flip through the copy given to me ... read
Howard Hall's introduction (a story about a dive) and looked briefly

Worlds Worse Nose Breather!!!20 Dec 2005 04:18 GMT14
I am a massive lover of being under water but have a major problem with
being a nose breather!
Having my nose blocked by a mask makes me want to throw up!
This really holds me back from enjoying the water and is very

Playa del Carmen hotel accommodations18 Dec 2005 00:37 GMT2
How easy is it to find a place to stay in Playa del Carmen?
I would like to ferry to Cozumel from Playa del Carmen on December 30.
Unfortunately my airplane is not scheduled to land in Cancun until 8:10
pm and I may have to spend a night in Playa del Carmen. I am not very
FYI Direcway16 Dec 2005 23:28 GMT5
They called today to investigate and ran tests this evening with my
front desk clerk. Apparently they too feel that the issue is with the
cendant gateway, but were reticent to definitively state that. However,
the tech did find very slow response times from Cendant's servers, and ...
