Has anyone been to the "Andrea Doria" this season?09 Aug 2005 15:51 GMT1
Not a diver, but an interested party wanting to know her current state of
deterioration.  What has changed over the past season and what is the
current state for exploration, removal of artifacts?
Any current photos of the wreck from recent trips?

I am witnessing a wonderful PNW sunset;
A hundred thousand layers with a million colors.
Deepest blue to the slightest pink.
No political party, no nations, no hatred, no religion, just a bitchin
Dry Suit Repair09 Aug 2005 00:49 GMT2
I discovered three small (about 3 mm) horizontal slits in my latex wrist
seal and was wondering if there is a temporary fix that would get me through
a few dives before I have the seal replaced. Anybody have any ideas? The
slits are about 2 inches from the end of the cuff. Thanks ...

HyperAqualand to Garmin Windows Mobile PDA08 Aug 2005 12:09 GMT2
It's too late for the dive trip I'm planning for tomorrow, but maybe not too
late for my next dive trip.
I've got a new Garmin IQM5 gps/pda running Windows Mobile 2003 second
edition.  I would like to figure a way to link the PDA to my Citizen
Rain in Cozumel07 Aug 2005 22:57 GMT5
I'm going to Cozumel next week. Weather.com says it's going to rain
EVERY day (30-60% chance) but no thunderstorms. Are they going to go out
for diving trips?

Going to Little Cayman (conchclub) on the 14th of August.  My first
trip to the Caymans since Ivan (got out last year two days before it
hit).  Anyone know how Little Cayman's shore diving is post-Ivan?
Anyone done any shore diving near the Conch Club?
Dive Video06 Aug 2005 20:53 GMT2
If anyone would like to see my first dive video from our trip to Nassau in
July, go to video.google.com and use the Playable video option.  Enter
Nassau Rock Wall Dive and it will come up.
It's about 12 minutes long and I hope you enjoy it.
Nitrox tanks worth it?06 Aug 2005 07:20 GMT53
First of all, for you sock puppets, this is real diving content.
I'm debating getting a "nitrox" tank.  My LDS gives me an instructor
discount (even though I haven't taught there since they went NAUI) so
I get air fills for $3 and can rent tanks for $8.  Nitrox fills are $6

what happens if u dive with no certification?  i know the bends is a
risk but if u know to rise in stages and slowly, is that enough?

Dive Buddy Sought Around St Pete for Th, Fri, Sat, or Sun Dives This Week04 Aug 2005 00:51 GMT10
I had to dive solo this weekend because my wife couldn't find a
babysitter.  The solo dive was a positive experience, but I prefer to
accept less risk and have more safety on my dives.
Are there any divers in the St Pete area willing to accept a newbie
Looking For A Conshelf 14 (XIV) Rig02 Aug 2005 08:25 GMT11
I bought a Conshelf 14 rig for myself, and now my buddy (wife) wants
one too.  Anyone have an old rig laying around?  I would like one with
the Conshelf 14 1st & 2nd stage, compass, depth, SPG, octo, and BC
hose, but other configurations will work.
