Do many dive operators actually give a sh.t that I'm only certified

Fresh Water & Salt Water Shore Dives Sought Around Tampa30 Jul 2005 21:31 GMT2
I just received my C Card from PADI and I'm ready to explore some new
sites.  I'm looking for novice stuff.  My cert dives were at Lake
Denton, but that is a two hour drive.  Anyone know a place closer?
Thanks!
Provo Dive Operators30 Jul 2005 19:19 GMT3
Can anyone recommend quality dive operators in Provo? I'm looking for an
operator who will not tailor a trip for novices and will assure me of the
best the area has to offer, weather permitting.
Thanks for any and all suggestions.

Scientists have discovered giant sinking mucus "houses" that double the amount
of food on the sea floor.

Calming music29 Jul 2005 04:24 GMT28
Needless to say I like to be calm before I go out into the water. Recently a

I really like it, I find it relaxing and something I can easily listen to
before I go out. I was curious, though, because I ...

Anyone Use a Timex Helix Depth Gauge Watch?28 Jul 2005 17:36 GMT6
I just bought a Timex Helix with a depth gauge after reading good
reviews on www.scubaboard.com.  I took it to 36 feet today and it
performed well.  It automatically started at 5 feet and started timing
my surface interval when I surfaced.  It was right with my depth gauge

Speaking of fish ID27 Jul 2005 22:49 GMT1
Carol is the marine biologist in the family.  She actually
contemplated it as a major until she found out you needed a PhD to be
qualified enough to just barely not starved to death.
So when I see something interesting, I wait until we surface and ask.

S786 - will eliminate free NOAA-NWS data27 Jul 2005 17:52 GMT9
Read Senate Bill S786 at http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/query
The effect will be to privatize the distribution of most NOAA and NWS data.
Read Section 2(b).  Write your senate and tell him/her to vote against this
bill.
Nitrox vs. regular air27 Jul 2005 16:43 GMT39

I have alot of old gear that I need to replace before my next dive. I'm
not sure if I should get Nitrox or not.
