Real story on buying SCUBA equipment on Internet?18 Mar 2005 04:25 GMT7
I like my dive instructor and his store is nice and well stocked, but holy
crap, the difference in prices there versus say Liesurepro.com is too large
to ignore.  For instance, a ScubaPro Classic Plus BC is $781 at the store,
$534 online.  Regulators, computers, wet and dry suits ...
scuba gear reviews17 Mar 2005 19:18 GMT9
This scuba guide has a rather large scuba directory with over 1400 items in
it. It looks like something you could use to compare different brands of
scuba gear.
The only thing is, there aren't many reviews there, since it is a new site.
Paradise diving is waiting. for Rick S.17 Mar 2005 19:01 GMT7
Hit the wreck of the Guy Harvey yesterday to tie off for a coupla
outta-towners. The expected frigid temps weren't as bad as expected (not

in my older age. Instead, the current was ripping, quite unusual ...

When is a Dive Club Not a Dive Club?12 Mar 2005 04:20 GMT14
I have a  (Canadian) liability question to do with diving.  Are the founding
members of a "dive club" liable for accidents that occur to members of that
club even if the club goes to great lengths to make it clear to its members
(via a waiver) that there will be no divemasters for ...
A couple of Newbi ?s12 Mar 2005 01:22 GMT70
My wife and I are heading down to the keys next week to get our open water
cert.
The operator recommended we use their gear for training, and buy our gear
afterwards.  Their concern was we would get outfitted with the wrong gear

Scuba Diving Game11 Mar 2005 16:49 GMT2
Sorry for the slightly offtopic post, but here is something possibly
interesting... a scuba diving game of sorts, or rather a diving screensaver
with some kind of an exploration game slapped on top. It's called
OceanDive, and it looks... quite unbelievable frankly, all in 3D, but ...

Hello rec.scubans worldwide!
I'm getting a bit desperate because I plan to fly to Miami in early April
and spend a week diving on Blackbeards and I can't seem to relieve the
pressure in the sinuses behind my eyebrows.  I've had this for about three
NASA Dive Chick - From Popeye10 Mar 2005 13:44 GMT8
So there I was, in this dive, see....
Last night I was in a biker bar called the Barbarosa, in Del Rio,
Tennessee. About 50 miles north of here.
This place makes Mayberry look like Greenwich Village.
