Sudafed, Doc's, Surgery, Pro Ear???19 Feb 2005 22:16 GMT17
After 75 painful dives I am asking if you know if there is a cure for
equalizing problems?  I have tried sudafed, practice, exercise & Doc's Ear
Plugs with little helping effect.
Today while ice diving, I could not get my left ear to equalize, ruining

So what's the best tide and current station for planning dives on
Whytecliff Park in Vancouver?
Also, does anyone know if they make an isolation manifold for my Spair

A freind of mine from my workplace was into diving years ago. He
had two aluminum 80's filled, and then never used them. For 10 years
now they have been in a storage closet. He is now wanting to sell
his gear. Would storage for that long at full pressure cause the
TV Show - Extreme Diving16 Feb 2005 01:36 GMT4
I watch a show the other day (it had actually been TIVO'd for a while)
on some sort of fitness channel (DirecTV), where they showed a diver
in Hawaii that made a dive to 345 feet to look for new species of
marine life.
Underwater housings for Sony digital cameras15 Feb 2005 20:49 GMT6
Does anyone know if the housing for the Sony DSC P150 digital camera,
housing model MPK-PHB, will work with the new DSC P200 camera?  The specs.
for the P200 say that it is thicker than the P150.  The controls look to be
in the same spots, but it is hard to be sure from pictures. ...

The attached pretty well sums up most of the discussions on rec.scuba,
even if it is politically incorrect.

Drysuit Glue:   MEK in the Savadive Kit?14 Feb 2005 19:38 GMT14
I just replaced the neck seal and boots on my drysuit.   I've got some
leftover glue in the bottom of a 4oz can, and I'd like to pack it and
some patches in my saveadive kit, but when I do everything smells like
MEK.  That stuff is pretty toxic.
bottle question14 Feb 2005 17:25 GMT32
Someone brought me an aluminium bottle he got at the Caymans and is
asking wether he could have it hydroed in Germany.
Before giving any advice, I want to ask about what the different numbers
on the bottle should tell.
Lobster Rage!13 Feb 2005 17:34 GMT34
Anybody ever been in a fight with a lobster?
I'm trying to find out how much damage an average sized lobster could do if
it got hold of a diver.  No doubt they can give a painful nip but are the
claws strong enough to tear neoprene gloves? Break skin?  Break bones?  Chop
