| Question about sharks | 19 Jan 2005 07:31 GMT | 27 |
I would like to one day go on some dives, but have not done so yet. So, please pardon my novice question, but I am very curious. I watched the movie "Open Water", then afterwards read the story/summary of the inquiry about the people it was based on. Granted, nobody knows the

Can anyone give some recommandations for dive operators in the middle Florida Keys area? I have not dove the Marathon area since the late '90's. I used to use "The Diving Site" but I beleive they are no longer in business. I do mostly reef diving, occasional wrecks, no nitrox. I ...

| SPGs for stages / sidemount tanks | 14 Jan 2005 19:35 GMT | 25 |
Just curious... Why is it that the DIR folks seem to want normal SPGs with 6" hoses for the stages instead of the small SPGs that screw directly into the high pressure port? Perhaps they consider them easier to read more accurately? Does the same

I've just joined a group trip from our dive shop in Pittsburgh (Splash), from January 8-15 at Fantasy Island on Roatan. Yeah, I know. But they had an opening, it was cheap, I didn't have time to plan anything else, so it was the line of least resistance. I was in Ft. Lauderdale ...

| Henderson Ice Cap question | 10 Jan 2005 03:52 GMT | 4 |
I have recently been attempting to use a Henderson ice cap under my regular wetsuit hood, and my mask seems to keep flooding, at times almost uncontrolable. The mask fits with moderate tightness to my head, and the mask seems to fit well to the ice cap. Have tried smooth rubber

| European Tanks | 08 Jan 2005 03:06 GMT | 72 |
I recently noticed a French tank on eBay for sale... It's rated in bars and probably doesn't have a DOT stamp -- probably whatever the European equivalent might be... It's also likely that it has metric threads, so I might be hard pressed to get a manifold for it without ordering it ...
