Have narrowed our next trip down to Thailand or Malaysia.
Have been recommended to go to Khao Lak in Thailand and to stay at the Le
Meridien Resort.
I understand the diving is supposed to be world class here at the Similan

Anyone care to guess where this 'new' Turks & Caicos Explorer II comes from?

OK, you guys play nice now.17 Dec 2004 22:35 GMT6
I'll see you in 3 weeks+.
I might even have some dive stories.  I'll be meeting two rec.scubans, a
tech diver, and a friend from New York who is definitely not a tech diver.
Tease ya later.
Thoughts on the Slippery Slope17 Dec 2004 15:28 GMT2
"A departure from principle in one instance becomes a precedent for a
second; that second for a third; and so on, till the bulk of the
society is reduced to be mere automatons of misery, to have no

Wierd accident17 Dec 2004 04:36 GMT15
Yeah, I know, it's scuba related, but I think as an NRA lifer I
deserve a break.
When we were in Cozumel, there was a guy who had a little accident.
It was one of his first open water dives since getting certified.

Canon SD200 in housing for SD100/11015 Dec 2004 07:03 GMT1
I've been eying the lower-end digital cameras for
a light travel setup. I like the new Canon SD200 a
lot as far as value. But, can it fit or be made to
fit into the housing from either Canon or Ikelite?
An Unusual Dive in Rangiroa13 Dec 2004 08:08 GMT1
Rangiroa has long been over-rated for its shark diving.
I have consistently found more sharks diving in Moorea or Bora Bora
than the few times I've dived in Rangiroa.
But in the dive this morning, I did not see ANY shark -- which is
Traveling to Belize12 Dec 2004 21:33 GMT32
I'm considering going to Belize in February for an escape from the
cold Northeast USA as well as to do some diving.
I have been throughout Central America and would be interested in
hearing about Belize culturally as well as recommendations for
Question to Scubapro Master Jacket users10 Dec 2004 22:54 GMT3
I didn't get much success with my post in rec.scuba.equipment and
uk.rec.scuba (thanks Matthias for your reply). So I take the liberty to
repost in rec.scuba since I'm looking for users' reports rather than
starting a in-depth discussion on a piece of gear. And such users might
Canon Digital Rebel versus Nikon D7010 Dec 2004 12:44 GMT16
I'm looking at the canon Digital Rebel and the Nikon D70. I flooded my housing
so I am looking to upgrade to a new camera and a new housing. I have a sea &
Sea YS-90 strobe. Which of these cameras would be my best choice? Will both be
able to use my strobe?
Report on Grand Cayman Shore Dive10 Dec 2004 04:50 GMT2
Just got back from a cruise of the Western Caribbean which included Grand
Cayman as a port.  We were able to scuba dive one of the shore dives there.
There are actually two shore dives off the downtown area of Georgetown which
were recommended to us.  For cruiseship passengers, ...
