A year ago today I awoke to the shock of my life.  I knew he was feeling
badly that night but never in my life did I expect to awake to him dead.
You can not imagine the overwhelming feelings of total shock, grief,
sadness, and relief.  Yes - relief that the reign of terror was ...

New Use For SCUBA gear27 Oct 2004 16:37 GMT4
Recently, I had an air conditioner condensation drain back up.  I put bleach
down the line, everything seemed fine.  A week later, it backed up again.
Put some more bleach (pool chlorine - 10% bleach) in; no response.  Having a
couple of full 80's in the garage, I connected my ...

Keys at Thanksgiving?26 Oct 2004 01:19 GMT4
We've got brand-new open water certs, and time off at Thanksgiving.
We were thinking of going to the Florida Keys for first ocean dives.
Marathon would probably be my first choice, but we're flexable.
I'm guessing the Keys are going to be pretty packed that weekend?

I will be going down to Grand Cayman, Key Largo, and Cozumel at the end of
November.  What will be the likely condition of the dive sites regarding the
reefs and the marine life down there post hurricanes?

Diving around Cancun.24 Oct 2004 08:22 GMT4
I have been to Cozumel twice and loved the diving and had a good time at the
Iberostar since it wasn't one of the giant hotels.  A/c sucked though.  Is
there decent diving around cancun?  Where is a good place to stay that is
all inclusive and not a giant hotel?   Ball park price ...

sprang to mind when I read this:
Let me know if anyone here enters!
Due to the popularity of the Survivor shows, Texas is planning to do one
DEMA: The Beginning of The End?20 Oct 2004 20:35 GMT46
Just returned from Houston and the 2004 DEMA (Diving Equipment Marketing
Association) Convention.  In General, Houston was surprisingly great, however,
DEMA was dry and somewhat boring IMHO.  Attendance by both manufacturers and
especially attendees was low, very low compared to ...

I was in Northern Ontario a couple weeks ago diving the Gunilda and
Judge Hart wrecks found in the area. We had hoped to do daily reports
and post them on my buddy Greg Mossfeldt's website, but the lack of cell
coverage meant that we couldn't access our cellular internet so instead
