I have a Nikonos V and I was wondering what would be the best negative
film to shoot underwater pictures. I'm about to try Kodak's Portra 160
VC. I also would like to scan all my pictures and I've heard that the
Portra is optimized for scanning.

Doing my Divemaster cert here and they're teaching a really clumsy way
to compute Tissue Pressure (in msw or fsw) of various Halftime
Compartments at various depths over various times.

   Ok, I have a question about the alternate air source known as the
Alternate Inflator Regulator.
   If your diving buddy needs air, your supposed to give your dive buddy
your main regulator and you breath out of the bcd inflator regulator.

Bellow what surface interval time is considered the same dive and not a new dive?
Is this value same for all different diving schools ?

I'm replacing the spools in a couple of  brass/glass OMS SPGs. Didn't notice
until I had the spools out of the gauges and hoses that the orifices are
different sizes at each end of the spool or at least they look that way.

I hope a few of you could give me some insight/recommendations. I plan
to sign up with Scuba Network on 21st and 6th to get certified and
hope someone who took classes with them can tell me about their
experience.

   I've noticed in the Padi Sport Diver magazines that I have bought the
last five or so months that a lot of the content, I would say a fourth of
every magazine, is about what happens on top of the water - parties,
drinking, eating, more partying, etc... at the resorts people stay ...

So, how far will a .38 round go underwater if fired from the surface?  Might
make for interesting safety stops, I guess...

I will be on my own in FL for a few days in mid Sep and would like to
scuba at least once while I'm down there.  I am OW1 qualified, but
haven't dived for quite a while.  I prefer shore dives.
Any suggestions?
