Finally Met Bob Decker27 Aug 2004 10:55 GMT4
I just had to post this to the group.
After missing Bob Decker during previous trips to Morehead City, NC and failing
to run into him at various trade shows, my luck changed this past week while
diving with Olympus Dive Center. I finally met Bob! Not only that, but I was

If a diver is neutrally buoyant in salt water then he will sink in fresh
water.  Correct?
Oxygen-induced seizure?26 Aug 2004 04:17 GMT34
I work at a hospital in Virginia Beach where we essentially get any and
all dive-related emergencies from our area of the mid-atlantic. I recently
cared for a diver that was diving on the Monitor. 230 ft max depth, 15 min
BT on Trimix. He ascended to 60 ft for his first deco. ...

How far is too far when beach diving ? Of my 100 dives to date about
20 dives are beach dives and the remainder either charter boat dives
or dives from privately owned boats and even a few jon boat dives.
Of my 80 non-beach dives I really can't recall any problems that even

Do you have the right to complain about a boat passing to close to your line
when you are fishing at the entrance of a boat harbor?  I mean, I wouldn't
scuba dive in a boat harbor why do you feel you have the right to fish
there?
Ladder 3 : Diver 124 Aug 2004 01:44 GMT1
Thanks for all of the insight. I just got back from a couple of dives
this morning. Again with moderate seas and current. I really didn't have
mcuh difficulty today as I did in the past. Like all things related to
diving, the more experience the better prepared you tend to be. ...
My Second Lesson!23 Aug 2004 15:47 GMT12
Well,  scuba diving lesson number two has come and gone.  Over all it
was all pretty simple and easy.  We  reviewed tests three and four, then I
took two quizzes.  I do have a complaint about the quizzes.
Some of the questions are worded in a way that is tricky.  They are ...
Bad Experience with Scuba Lessons - Advice?23 Aug 2004 13:25 GMT44
I'm not going to name names, as I'm not trying to slander anyone, but
just get advice. But I've just done two lessons with a certain scuba
training program, with a friend of mine, and we're thinking of
dropping out.
