| darn - forgot the SCUBA gear | 25 Jun 2004 05:36 GMT | 11 |
Saturday: I packed up all my SCUBA gear and then drove off and left it at the house. I didn't notice until I was swimming along at depth (I dunno how deep since I had no gauges) and realized I was holding my breath. That's when I noticed I had no regulator, BCD, fins, tanks, or

I am following a PADI Rescue Diver Course and EFR course here in Italy and I feel my instructor is not clear or right on this: My instructor tells me that I have to tear off the pages OF MY MANUAL regarding the answering quizzes because he says that PADI requires him

| Question, Breathing techniques, opinions? | 24 Jun 2004 11:49 GMT | 22 |
I am curious as to your opinions, and/or modifications to the statement "Breath slowly, and deeply" put forth by PADI. Let me set 3 styles. Which do you like? Which have you tried? 1 Slow inhale, Slow exhale.

| darn - forgot the computer | 24 Jun 2004 00:40 GMT | 2 |
Saturday: Left the hoseless dive computer on the table and didn't notice it until getting to the water. Strapped the tank on with some trepidation. Don't know how deep - maybe 45 feet. Couldn't tell how long - turned out to be 90 minutes. Swan hard the entire dive and got tired. ...

| tank content vs. pressure | 23 Jun 2004 17:35 GMT | 59 |
I hope I can ask this question in an understandable way,, Lets say I use 500 psi from my tank, from 3000, down to 2500, And my dive buddy has also used 500 psi from his tank, but he started at 1500, and went down to 1000.

I'm in the market for something new and this system caught my eye. I have talked to several dive shop personnel and I am getting mixed messeges maybe because they are trying to sell me on what they carry. Does anyone own this system and if so how do you feel about it, pros,

I've already got a Sequest Black Diamond BDC, which is great for drysuit diving here in Alaska, and I really like it a lot. But, when I took it to Australia, I decided that travelling with it sucks. I'm looking for recommendations for a BCD to travel with, preferably one

I was on the Nekton Pilot a couple weeks ago on their Cay Sal itinerary. (It was a great trip.) At Orange Cay and several spots on the Cay Sal Bank we saw a lot of large egg casings that nobody could identify.

I'm planning a trip to Egypt in November and I plan to do some diving in the Read Sea. Any comments/advice from people who have done so would be appreciated. Operators to check out, operators to avoid, wetsuit recommendations, or anything else.
