Following up from the 'life on the reef' thread, does anybody have any
recommendations for a good fish ID book?
I'm looking for one on the reef fish of Southeast Asia and the Pacific. I've
seen some excellent ones in diveshops, but don't know who wrote them.

Recently, I had the opportunity to compare web vs local merchant
prices for a couple of dive thingies.
One was a computer.  The Leisure Pro price, at today's exchance rate
(.764 $US = 1 real dollar) was $366 plus shipping.  Let's call it

at last I have found some money and self-confidence to get a certificate

I just saw a PBS program on whales.  It mentioned a place Northeast of
Australia named Tonga.  It said that it is one of the only two places in the
world where one can swim with Humpback whales.  It sounds great.
Has anyone every been there?
