For our resident lawyers and pool owners13 Feb 2004 07:28 GMT57
Because of a bad windstorm, I had to replace the gate to our pool.  The
original gate was enormous: 4x8 ft.  I figured that was part of the problem.
I replaced it with a much smaller gate.  It's only 4 1/2 feet high.  The
wife is worried about liability.  I figure that any kid who ...
AED's for Dive Boats13 Feb 2004 05:05 GMT16
What are good choices for AED's on dive boats?  I need one that comes
in a strong case and has safeguards against corrosion.  Oh yeah, and
doesn't become technically obsolete by the time I pay it off and the
1st year of medical direction runs out...thanks, AG

Here's one for our resident lawyer and it's on topic as well13 Feb 2004 01:18 GMT35
Just wondering,
How come diveshops and scuba manufacturers give us the line that they
can't sell parts to divers because of "liability reasons" and yet I can
go down to my local Napa and buy parts to service my vehicle? How open
Rifle or shotgun?12 Feb 2004 13:29 GMT14
OK...the discussion of guns has broken down...
Time for a new dimension to it.  I'm thinking that a shotgun is better than
a rifle since the chance of making a mark between 2 boats with a rifle is
pretty small.  Assault weapons would probably make the best defense since
OT: Zero gravity12 Feb 2004 07:49 GMT13
When NASA first started sending up astronauts, they quickly discovered that
ball-point pens would not work in zero gravity.  To combat this problem,
NASA scientists spent a decade and $12 million developing a pen that writes
in zero gravity, upside down, on almost any surface ...

Geogian Bay Cray fish12 Feb 2004 02:56 GMT12
Im jus wondering f the cray fish in Georgian Bay (tobermory, more

Fla Keys Diving-Trip Report11 Feb 2004 03:12 GMT57
After having had 4 dive trips cancelled in a row for weather or other
reasons, I was ready to get wet.  I ended up carrying over too many
vacation days from last year and the powers that be at work were
"encouraging" me to take them "as soon as possible"....so, after

What is This Group?10 Feb 2004 00:09 GMT26
I came to the scuba group for the first time today. The first topic (TMJ
or head pain while diving) degenerated into a discussion of suing one
another. The second topic was about Halliburton. The last topic I viewed
concerned whether or nor to take a photo in color or black and ...
