Can you make a living as a full time Scuba Instructor in California?08 Jan 2004 03:09 GMT4
I was a former IT Professional until 9/11 happened, and been out of work for
two years. At the present time my employment prospects are slim to none as a
Senior Network Analyst and I am facing the possibility of a career change. I
am currently a Rescue diver and I am thinking ...
Congealed Cotol07 Jan 2004 21:42 GMT4
The other day, I bought a tube of Aquaseal and Cotol.
When I got home, I noticed that the Cotol had, rather than
being the usual clear then liquid, partially congealed.  About
half of it was like dry rubber cement in the bottle.  A couple
Florida Keys Planning06 Jan 2004 23:15 GMT15
I'm getting ready for the annual spring Jacksonville treck to play with my
eldest child.  She's reached a stage where she's mature enough to handle
diving with her old man.  My plan is to run her through the PADI short
course, and then head south to the Keys, teach her to dive, and ...
Well, I'm back! 50 dives in a span of 19 days06 Jan 2004 22:48 GMT84
Well, I'm back from my Australia diving holiday. I went to Australia with
only 4 dives. Over a span of 19 days, I completed another 50, giving me 54
total (and completed the advanced course). I learned a boatload and I'm
convinced that I advanced a lot more as a diver than I would ...

Does anyone know of a shop in Monterey that rents kayaks for use as a
diving platform?
Also, are there any shops that offer kayak diving specialty courses?

recomendations for red-sea liveaboards?04 Jan 2004 22:48 GMT1
Hi. I'm looking to do a 7 day liveaboard sometime in March, but not sure
what's available and what they are like?
I'm on a bit of a tight budget as well, about ?700. Would I be better off
just doing day dives from somewhere like sharm? Am I going to get much

Happy New Year y'all. Hope 2004 is a great one for for all of you.
I'm starting it off nicely with a holiday in Cancun and with a little
luck, some time on Coz and in the cenotes. See you in a couple of
weeks.
Grand Cayman Dive Operators04 Jan 2004 06:56 GMT4
I will be making my first trip to Grand Cayman January 17-25th. I received
my open water certification last year and am still a novice diver. Does
anyone have a recommendation on a good dive operator, preferably one that
isn't a cattle boat?
What is snorkelling like in Little Cayman?04 Jan 2004 06:17 GMT1
33 days 'till Ambergris Caye in Belize and already it is necessary to
start planning for next year. (February)
Considering Little Cayman, but always have to take into account my non
diving wife, who does however very much enjoy snorkelling.
6cf pony bottle numbers03 Jan 2004 23:04 GMT93
Well, I couldn't do my beach dive yesterday, too nasty out there, so I
screwed around with my pony bottle. When I first filled it I hooked up
a reg to test it and breathe through it a bit so my starting pressure
while testing at home was 2800 psi. I didn't bother with counting ...

I am not sure which way to go when scuba diving... Should I use contact lens

cons?
