Private Charter to Bonaire14 Jan 2004 17:57 GMT9
We are trying to put togeather a private charter to Bonaire. We are trying
to fill a 727 to leave Cincinnati direct Bonaire. Just think, no two hours
early, no body cavity search to get on the airplane, free parking,
orientation is given on the plane, marine tags purchased on the ...
ex-miltary Zodiac, OK for dive-boat?14 Jan 2004 03:41 GMT7
HI All, Ive never posted here before, forgive me if this is OT. I have obtained
a 10 year old Zodiac F-470, a 15+ foot inflatable, with interlocking aluminum
floorboards, (not slats).
Does anyone know if I could get by with a 25 HP motor, to plane the thing
Lee Bell, Nobel Prize, and his Fellow Divers' Respect.14 Jan 2004 03:24 GMT11
Lee Bell, in a subject initiated by Ron Lee, continued his malicious
attack, now sank to a new LOW, not content with Hugh Huntzinger's
malicious GRUDGE attack, mud-slinging me and my profession, wrote:

Mona trip report, 1/3 - 10/314 Jan 2004 00:32 GMT1
IMHO, the verdict is still out on Mona as the 'Galapagos of the Carribean'.
Several more trips are required to make a definitive decision.
We had some moderate winds, seas were not really a factor but at times the
ladders were fun to play with.
BAHAMAS AND CUBA13 Jan 2004 15:22 GMT1
We want to go to Bahamas in April.
Any suggestions?
Walker's Cay sounds good because of the shark diving.
Maybe Freeport is the ticket.

If it is not a tilefish, what is it?
new diver wants some advice12 Jan 2004 22:11 GMT6
I am a new diver.  I just completed my PADI open water certificate in
September 2003, in Belize while I was traveling there.  It was a great
experience.  Last month I was traveling in Baja California and wanted to do
some diving in La Paz or nearby, but the weather was windy the few ...
Grand Cayman diving shops12 Jan 2004 16:11 GMT3
I have booked a vacation to Grand Cayman.  I have been looking at dive shops on
the web and have been in contact with a few.  I really want to avoid some of
the big chains that herd you on a both with 20 or 25 strangers.  Two of the
smaller operations I have been in contact with ...
Heading to Florida...Give Song a miss!!12 Jan 2004 15:13 GMT7
I just retuned to Florida, from New York on Song. They are the worst
excuse for an airline I have ever encountered.  I fly 2 or 3 times a
month, and I would never even consider these jokers again.
The lunacy  started when I checked in 1 1/2 hours early and was not
comment on deep wreck descent12 Jan 2004 03:23 GMT59
I did the duane in key largo yesterday with some rippin currents, as
strong as I've been in before. The dive went off with no problems, I
did experience one thing though that I will handle a little
differently

as soon as I return from my trip, and IF the telephone company gets my
phone line fixed while I am gone, I'll provide you with the info you
want. As it is right now, I can only get a 19.2 (at best) data rate due
to static on my lines. Pages take forever to load, so I am not gonna
HydroOptix mask tryout11 Jan 2004 02:45 GMT11
Well, someone has to do it.  I got one of the (in)famous bug-masks and
hauled it down to Cayman Brac to see what I thought.
I had some difficulties.
First, it leaked quite badly, both around the seal (despite using
Best light-weight wet suit top for snorkeling?10 Jan 2004 05:27 GMT3
I occasionally do some snorkeling in Hawaii and Mexico and lately I find
myself chilled, even in fairly warm water. I'd like to get a short-sleeved
wet suit jacket with a zipper, preferably of a light flexible material. I
don't need a heavy-duty neopryne suit. There are a few ...
To other instructors10 Jan 2004 02:24 GMT204
Ok.
A buddy of mine just got his instructor rating (I'm an instructor too).
Seems his girlfriend/soon-to-be-fiance is giving him grief over something
which I thought was insane - but in the spirit of not jumping to
Diving in Acapulco09 Jan 2004 02:12 GMT2
