Diving in Saipan30 Jan 2004 03:15 GMT1
I may get a chance to go TDY to Saipan and would like some input for
local diving.  If I stay longer, which of the islands do I want to go

Rental equipment failures?29 Jan 2004 18:42 GMT18
We are about to leave for undeserved holidays in the Dominican

We have some scuba gear but are reluctant to carry it, as we travel
with a baby and he is cumbersome enough on his own. We would rather
Hong Kong diving ... not this time29 Jan 2004 18:12 GMT3
Posted 10 days ago asking for information on diving around Hong Kong.  Just
got back from Hong Kong and sad to report that despite all efforts I was
unable to go diving ... couldn't find any shops that were running boats on
the days that I had free.  Did get out on the South China ...

rec.scuba dive reports / resort ratings28 Jan 2004 14:33 GMT12
I've been considering putting together a website for rec.scubans to post
their dive reports and resort ratings.  In that line of thinking I have a
few questions.
Do you think it would be worth my time?

Yea Haw, the trades have returned!28 Jan 2004 03:28 GMT5
At least for a couple of days.
It rained hard all morning here.  While we don't need the rain, it did help
me track down some leaks in the new skylights.  By afternoon, the skies had
cleared and I definitely felt an easterly breeze.  On tonight's news the

Seas 1-2 at 75F27 Jan 2004 06:47 GMT2
Vis about 40 feet, down considerably from the 80-100 we've
been enjoying the prior weeks. It was accompanied by an
unusual condition (as in I've never seen it in several hundred
dives there): a five foot surge.
Learning to dive in Fiji27 Jan 2004 06:00 GMT2
I'm planning to be in Fiji at the end of February and want to learn to
dive whilst I'm there.
Can anyone (dis)recommend any schools out there and any locations that
are particularly good.
Diverite VS Halcyon BC 27 Jan 2004 00:13 GMT6
