Scuba Death28 Oct 2003 12:42 GMT22
My daughter's friend recently died in a Scuba accident.  I would like to get
information from an (medical?) expert on the possible symptoms of
contaminated air (CO, oil mist, etc) and don't know how to locate such a
person.  This is only for our own curiosity and not for pending ...

Last went diving this past March in Cayman and my equipment has been in
storage ever since.  Just booked a trip to St Lucia for the end of November
and would like to know what the general community recommends regarding
maintenance schedule of the reg.  It was newly purchased right ...
What is your Deepest Coral Found?27 Oct 2003 21:44 GMT11
Hello,
I was doing some research on coral in the Red Sea.  I was wondering,
has anyone found coral down to 200ft?  Anyone know of any good
resources that have been written on the subject?  And what have you

oddly enough,  this appeared in my inbox while I was reading Kimbers
post about Mick.
I know it is old,  and most of us have seen it before, but perhaps the
loss of Mick may cause us to take the time to think....
Questions on Suunto Cobra26 Oct 2003 22:04 GMT6
a). Does this device come with a printed manual? I know you can download
one, I just want to know if it should come with a printed one.
b). Should this device have a serial number on it somewhere? If so, where?
And what does one look like?
Slave for Powershot?26 Oct 2003 14:27 GMT2
I never expected great shots from my Powershot S400 and it's WP-DC800
waterproof case.  I just wanted some "photo mementoes" without mortgaging
the house.  But now I've come to feel that the potential is there if only I
could rig an external slave strobe.  Has anyone else tried ...

Junior certification25 Oct 2003 19:39 GMT12
I've read several threads about the pros and cons of kids diving, and
I'm not trying to start another one here.  But, assuming that decision
has already been made, I have the following question:  Is there some
kind of provisional training and certification that would allow a
HP Photosmart 935?25 Oct 2003 08:28 GMT1
I was thinking about getting the HP Photosmart 935 digital camera for
general purpose stuff, and want to use it for my occasional scuba trips
also. Does anyone use this, or do you know if there is a housing
available? I tried digitaldiver.net and they didn't list one, but
Suunto Quick Disconnect - need help25 Oct 2003 02:15 GMT1
Can anyone with one of these tell me what is supposed to be in the box? I
got the metal part and an instruction manual. My dealer says some
protective caps were supposed to be in there too, but are not. Can anyone
confirm this?
Moorings out of Belize24 Oct 2003 23:05 GMT1
Thinking of taking a bareboat charter out of Placencia Belize with the Moorings
for diving and crusing. Any comments especially on the political climate there
and safety. ddbi1@aol.com

Dinner Thursday night at the Rustic Inn.
I'm not a regular smoker but Greg is and since it is very hard for me to be
around people that smoke without lighting up myself . . .most especially
when cocktails are being consumed.  Well, suffice to say I had many more
