Suunto Vyper desat time26 Jan 2007 17:51 GMT3
I have dived tables for 10 years and just bought a Suunto Vyper dive
computer. According to the PADI RDP if I dive 40 feet for 60 minutes I
am an 'N' diver. If I have a surface interval for longer than 5:19 I am
a 'new' (not 'A') diver. I was under the impression that this is my

I want to take short fins traveling this time to snorkel with.  Any

I will order off the internet.  I have seen the Aqua Sphere Zip fin online.

I have a brand new Cobra (only about 15 dives or so on it since I bought it

my wrist vs. on the console.
I've looked all over the internet for reviews and have found very few that

Biofilter on regulator?11 Jan 2007 19:35 GMT7
A dive buddy of mine uses a thing called a biofilter attached to his
regulator which he says helps purify the air and add moister to the intake.
Says he's happy and won't dive without it.
Is there such a need for this device?  Does it really help?  Am I missing
Types of Masks10 Jan 2007 00:20 GMT19
I was doing some reading and came across the terms Low Volume and High Volume
masks. I could not find an explaination about these terms and the difference
between each type of mask. I would appreciate some help with this question....
I am relatively new to scuba so I really want to ...
Most of you will NOT remember04 Jan 2007 23:55 GMT5
I'm 60 years old.  When I began diving in '56, at ten, and though my teen
years we had only dry suits (without valves) or wet suits without linings.
I remember putting on a Explorer demo for my Boy Scout convention in '62
where we, the Explorers, showed this "new technology" off ...
