I need a good source for regulator servicing in northern LA county or
Kern County.  My two previous sources went belly up.  I have used AV
Scuba in Lancaster and I've used Divers Discount (Discount Divers?) in
Montclair (though its a bit of a drive).    Somewher in the
Canon S70 - White Balance27 Mar 2005 19:40 GMT16
I just got the Canon S70, and am going to be doing my first underwater

Since Otter Boxes are rated to 100 feet, couldn't one get a clear one, turn
your digital video camera on, put it inside, and use it as a reliable, but
inexpensive, underwater housing?

Anyone seen or used an Eagle Z-1 BCD? Supposed to be like an improved Zeagle
Ranger. I've been looking for a new BC and may go to a back inflation to get
rid of the jacket squeeze. Also looking at the Dive Rite Transpac II. Like
the way you can change the configuration on it with ...

What is the best neutral buoyancy material for thermal protection for
water temperatures in the low 70 F degrees?  My 10 year old Polartec
suit is worn out, and want to learn if there is some better material
available now.

Snorkeling Fin Advice22 Mar 2005 07:31 GMT63
We snorkel a couple days a year during Caribbean trips.  We have diving fins
which we wear over short booties or Nike Aqua socks, as we go from shore in
places where it is rocky - so we need to wear some sort of shoes as we enter
the water.

Ranger BC19 Mar 2005 07:22 GMT12
Very new to scuba taking classes as we speak. Local dive shop carries other
brands like Seaquest. They won't say much about anything not in there shop.
Anyways I've been searching around everywhere and the Ranger seems like a
very good choice. What is your guys thoughts?
Compressors?18 Mar 2005 23:34 GMT3
Has anyone here, when not writing about guns, thought about having their own
compressor so they can fill their own air bottles?  It would seem that,
especially boat owners that do a lot of diving from their boat and have the
diesel power to drive a compressor, would find it ...

thinking about using  later this week while on vacation.
