Scubapro Mk2 + R290 - why spend more?28 Feb 2005 00:16 GMT28
I'm a recreational AOW diver with fairly limited experience and no
Nitrox ticket (as yet). I'm managing to take two dive trips abroad each
year (e.g. Red Sea, Malta, Maldives whenever I can get a last minute
cheap deal) and a couple of local dives in at home off the UK south
Dacor Darwin Owner's Manual27 Feb 2005 16:27 GMT4
Anyone know where I can access online the owner's manual for the Dacor
Darwin Nitrox (wrist) computer? There are just two buttons and one
would think I could figure out how to set the date/time...

Drysuit or Wetsuit26 Feb 2005 01:46 GMT17
Couldn't find my question answered with searching this forum, so I do hope
you forgive me if I stir up a very old discussion!
Although I'm still a newbie in diving, I enjoy it very much. I have almost
all my equipment, but still have troubles deciding if I should have a
Cold Water Regs19 Feb 2005 22:24 GMT16
Anyone got any good advice on cold water regs. I am doing most of my diving
in the UK and have been advised that Apeks are probably the best to go for
as they are environmentally sealed. Better not only for the cold water but
to keep the silt out the 1st stage. Any major differences ...
Wetsuit for a big guy19 Feb 2005 22:19 GMT4
I am a 6 foot 2 inch 350 lb man and I was wondering if anyone knew of a
place that sells a suit that would fit me.  Or if there is a certain
brand that does well with larger builds.
thanx
Sea and Sea YS 15 vs Inon D200019 Feb 2005 22:05 GMT1
Which is better. Tried to call Inon for several times no return calls,
etc.. poor customer service. Still I seem to like the Inon better due
to flash coverage. Anyone ever used the YS15 Auto ?
Stretch Wetsuits19 Feb 2005 21:58 GMT6
I need a new wetsuit, 7mm or so. I have been diving the Seaquest Predator
for years. It is great, but wearing out. I am wondering about the Seaquest
X-Flex, Henderson Hyperstretch, or Tilos Superstretch. Any recommendations?
Anyone know where to get any of these at discount?
Mares IRIS 2.2 RunTime Error19 Feb 2005 08:44 GMT3
I have a Mares M1 RGBM, and since today, when I try to launch the Iris
Program version 2.2, I have a run-time error 280, and the software closes.
I'm working with Windows 2000 Sp3.
I desinstalled/reinstalled the software, checked the registry, searched
Swatch Fun Scuba18 Feb 2005 17:59 GMT4
My father and I recently purchased Swatch Fun Scuba watches. We
tried them on a couple of dives, and seemed to work fine at depth,
taking accurate readings for depth and bottom time. However, once we
surfaced the watch seemed to be stuck in dive mode. Pushing the crown
Spare bulbs for UK600R: anyone still stocks them?15 Feb 2005 21:15 GMT8
I own a 15 years old UK600R diving light with screw-type bulb.
Few years ago I managed to find a spare bulb when the original (12 years
old bulb) started to show signs of age. Last week the replacement
bulb blew (after only 3 years) so I had to revert to now 15 years old
NOTRIX MEMBRANE SYSTEMS15 Feb 2005 21:13 GMT1

US Divers Monitor 2 Gel Seal15 Feb 2005 03:51 GMT10
I've got an older US Divers Monitor 2 that is in need of a battery
replacement.  I've found the battery, but am unsure of what the "gel stuff"
is that seals it up.  Can anyone point me in the right direction?
The last time I had a dive shop do it and it cost $75.  With the prices of
