Help! - Dacor Falcon BCD - Best method of draining after diving31 Aug 2004 18:11 GMT14
I have a Dacor Falcon BCD.  I cannot get the last amount of water out of it
after diving.  The traditional method of blowing it up, holding it upside
down and opening the release valve at the end of the tube always leaves
some water in the BCD.  Any pointers would be appreciated.

Has anyone tried the Expand-a-Lung exerciser (or similar products) for
increasing lung capacity, etc.?

Quick "formula" for buoyancy?25 Aug 2004 07:06 GMT10
I am new to diving and I was wondering if there is a quick formula to
roughly calculate the amount of weight that is needed for neutral
buoyancy in fresh water?
I know that I will need to experiment to fine tune it, but I am just
advice on Oceanic Probe BC24 Aug 2004 14:40 GMT8
My son and I have done about 20 dives and we are hooked.  I wanted to
get high quality BCD's and decided that the Oceanic Probe looked good.
Though I buy a lot of my stuff mail order, fit is important so I
decided to spend an extra $100 each to get the BC's at our local dive
External Strobe purchase in Oz23 Aug 2004 08:45 GMT3
Im trying to replace my (flooded) strobe that is now no longer
functional that I bought in the US. I paid around $200 for a Sunpak
Gflash which was about half of what the Sea & Sea flashes cost. I was
wondering if anyone knew a similar flash or a less expensive flash I
Suunto Cobra Dive Manager software and PO2 setting23 Aug 2004 03:43 GMT9
I just downloaded a first set of dives from my cobra where the max PO2
was set different from the default of 1.4.
All the dives downloaded with a PO2 Max of 1.4 (in the DC Settings
tab) even though I double checked and it's still set differently.
Dry Suit recommendations?23 Aug 2004 01:12 GMT4
I'm getting back into diving after a rather long hiatus (14 years). I did my
first dive Sat using rental gear and I'm planning on purchasing a dry suit
since I will be diving primarily in Western Canada and the water here is
dang cold.
Getting back into the boat...21 Aug 2004 22:06 GMT9
I have a small Boston Whaler 130 that I'm going to use as a dive boat off of
my cruising boat.  For a small boat like this, what suggestions would you
have to a ladder to get back into the boat from the water?  There are some
small swim ladders available but they don't seem large or ...
moisture in computer21 Aug 2004 05:15 GMT5
We have a couple of Pelagic manufacturer (hockey puck type) computers. On a dive
yesterday they got pretty hot in the car before the dive and while suiting up
they probably cooled down and some moisture condensed on the LCD screen. This
interfered with viewing during the dive. ...
Regulators that perform well at depths below 70 feet18 Aug 2004 15:21 GMT19
I have recently come to the conclusion, after careful observation, that my
regulator does not handle breathing at depths beyond 70 feet very well.  The
effort required to pull air gets rather hard.  When I dive above 70' I can
get a total dive time of over 40 minutes.  But as soon ...
Exhaust valves on Halcyon Pioneer Wings16 Aug 2004 14:27 GMT4
Can anyone tell me where the dump valves are located on these wings. I
see one low on the left on the website...is there another one high?
Just shopping...no need to damnn or praise me for considering this
system.
Dacor not honoring regulator warranty?16 Aug 2004 02:56 GMT28
I have a Dacor regulator and octopus that I have had for 15 years.   I have
faithfully had the product serviced annually in order to keep the lifetime
parts warranty valid.   Dacor is now saying that they do not support my
equipment any longer and suggest that I update to their ...
