Mares MC1 console, RGBM?30 Oct 2003 19:20 GMT1
Could someone tell me how to find out if my Mares MC1 computer, that
I've bought recently, is RGBM one?
I thought, tech. manual should contain necessary info, but even Mares
main web site tech manuals don't mention RGBM at all.

Question: Dive Computer Maintenance/Care28 Oct 2003 09:18 GMT20
I just recently got a dive computer, Mares M1 RGBM.  I haven't used it
yet.  Apart from rinsing in fresh water and drying out, is there any
other special care that should be taken?
Thx
Help with BC slipping28 Oct 2003 04:00 GMT49
I hope someone can give me a direction to go on this problem.  I've only
owned 2 BC's, a US Divers Cruse and now a Ranger, and I'm having the same
problem on both.  As I dive, the BC keeps sliding up, so that the shoulder
straps end up over my head.  I think it's because I'm a ...
This is not a joke - please be sensitive.25 Oct 2003 22:12 GMT2
I know Mickey is loved by some and hated by others.  Goddamnit I don't know
how to do this.
I loved him more than anything...  and now he is gone.
Mickey passed away in his sleep last night.  I am not joking...  this is not

What BC?23 Oct 2003 22:12 GMT6
I have narrowed my choice to a SeaQuest QD+ SL, Scubapro Glide 2000 or
Transpac II with rec wings.  I trained to PADI advanced on dive school
jackets but don't have the chance to try before I buy.  What should I do?

[q] which fins with x-large dry suit ?23 Oct 2003 05:13 GMT38
it seems that no fin shoe is large enough for an x-large dry suit.
Do you have any suggestions for a fin to use when the foot of the
dry suit is really bulky ?

Comment on THE LAST DIVE by Bernie Chowdhury22 Oct 2003 19:24 GMT4
Very informative, very well written, nice reading for the coming
season... It will give you a new perpective and change your attitude
toward the sport. It will also make you THINK. I recommend it
especially to advanced divers.
Led Lights22 Oct 2003 18:13 GMT5
Just curious if anyone is using LED lights in diving.  I just bought a
couple for work and around the house and they seem to be pretty reliable and
of good construction.  I have a Streamlight 4AA that just seems to run
forever.  I have not had the chance to take it underwater but ...
Important Regulator ?  (nitrox/titanium)20 Oct 2003 18:07 GMT31
I was told that the titanium version of the scuba pro mk25/s600 could
not be used for nitrox.
My friend is looking at a new reg specifically the atomic b2 which has
titanium internals and atomics web site said it was factory ready for
digital camera20 Oct 2003 01:43 GMT15
just wondering what the interest might be for a 2.1 meg pix digital with
case rated to 100 feet.
I am talking with a rep for a company that makes similar items and suggested
this.  It would not be professional quality to be sure but I am thinking of
Cascade Bottle Question19 Oct 2003 22:39 GMT22
A friend just gave me a helium bottle, 350 ft3 size.  The dates on it
go back to 1909.  It has a nazi stamp [Swastica, but no eagle] on the
1918 hydro and has been hydro'd every ten years since.  The pressure
rating is 2015 psi and it only has ICC numbers.  Has anyone seen a
Compressors under $10K19 Oct 2003 06:51 GMT2
Looking for information on compressors.  I see the ads in the back of the
magazines but really wonder if they are adequate.  I am looking for a good
new or slightly used compressor for under $10,000 US
