a little advise from the more experienced please... we're off to the red sea
on a liveaboard soon and was wondering what we should take (apart from
diving gear) to make the week more enjoyable?... the boat we're on is the
Orchid which has the usual tv/video/stereo etc etc.. is there anything that
you all "must take" with you?, be it "bribes" for the crew, fellow divers
etc or just anything that is a must to have...

all comments welcomed.

Steve

PS: plse accept my apologies if this messages appears more than once...

Take some rehydration salts as well.  If you get dehydrated and still want
to dive you could make yourself liable for a bend.

I'd also take spare O rings and bits like:

* Spare mask strap (or a complete mask)
* Spare fin straps
* A backup dive timer in case your computer fails (or gets lost / damaged)
* factor 35 or higher sun-tan lotion and after sun.
* If you use DIN regulator(s) take either DIN to A clamp converters or (if
you still have it) the original A clamp bits and tools to fit them.
* at least one DSMB and spool or reel.
* spare batteries for any electrical equipment
* UK to European travel plug converters
* anything you can't get on a boat that will stop you diving if you lose or
break it.

"soon" was Sunday the 20th ;) - got back the early hours of yesterday
morning after a few "problems" with baggage at Gatwick. The guide on the
boat was Hassan and he was great, nothing seemed too much trouble and we did
some great sites (in fact the entire crew were fantastic!)

hope you have a good time... we certainly did.

Cheers

Glad you had a good time!

Was there anything that you took and were glad you did , or didn't take and
wished you had?  TIA

Andy

We can take this to email if you like.
