Since you have a very strange question (similar to how hot is 1kg?) could
you explain the context (ie where have you seen this - its a misprint!) - or
can you make the correction if you've typed it wrong.

Depends if we are talking pebbles, chuckies, rocks or boulders...

I'm just guessing 6 rocks, 12 pebbles.

Which by my calculations works out...

average rock thickness = 1'4"
average pebble thickness = 3/4"

Rocks = 8'
Pebbles = 9"

Eight foot nine inches or 2.67 meters?

Cas, you didn't work on NASA's mars landers did you, or was that Al?

Wasn't me, guv!  I just learned the basics of "Ballpark Math" from my
engineer step-father which runs somewhere along the lines of "If you get the
right factor of 10 its got to be right"...

...I suppose that's good enough for rocket scientists too given that the sum
total of rocket science extends to stick flammable stuff in a tube and light
the end...  ;-)

Oh that's gonna hurt when Al and Ben get hold of you.

I know Al's not coming to Icebreakers but have you met Ben yet?

Besides Al will tell you it's a lot more complicated than that.
You need to point the sharp end in the direction you want it to go
(The Moon etc...)before you light the touch paper.

Forget the damage to Calum - who are you calling a rocket scientist?!!!

Those brutes hit things with hammers and have fireworks parties blowing
up expensive pieces of equipment - and I just count photons and move
electrons about the place in tidy little piles.

Has anybody else seen the fire in the fireworks factory video that's
doing the round at the moment?  I would put money on the camera person
not expecting the result that occurred.

Your future involves a large, ugly astronomer demonstrating his lack of
comprehension of the unsuitability of king size adjustable spanners for
inverse phrenology.

And I managed that with out even looking through a telescope ;-)
