The only problem that I see with semi's is you get cold and stay wet
between dives, however I'm quite warm in water at 14c, it's also a lot
less hassle diving in one, and it's ideal for the cooler months in the
Med too.
Having just said that I do dive in a dry suit for 80% of the time in the
uk and always for uk salt water dives.
If I had a choice I'll go for a dry suit, so get a cheapish semi and see
how warm you stay, I would say semi's are only good for summer uk diving.

THanks a lot for all your comments, I will go for a cheap semi dry, I
already have a dry suit, but I need a semi dry for cooler months in
the mediterranean.
I saw at www.subogear.com a semi dry I like, but strangely it has the
rear zip vertical not horizontal, I Never heard of this, is it normal?
is it ok? any problems with vertical zip instead of horizontal as I
usually have seen them ?
thanks

That perfectly normal for a wet suit.
A semi-dry is a wet suit with added hype.
Nothing more.
