If you have time to pre book Scapa Flow (http://www.scapaflow.co.uk/) is a must, there are plenty of dive boats to chose from. The wrecks are all fairly intact (between 20m & 40M)
Also if you are near the Scottish/English boarder, St Abbs (http://www.marine-reserve.co.uk/diving/introduction.htm) is a very good place to dive, one of the few places to see Wolf fish in shallow waters.
Finally, I have not dived with them but a very good friend has, and he would go back to them - http://www.puffin.org.uk/

I dived from Largs marina (west of Glasgow on the river Clyde) for the
first time in late summer. The diving was first class!
There's a dive shop there
C+C Marine 01475 687180
Agree about St Abbs but don't forget Eyemouth too. There's a good
dive centre shop there called AquaStars http://www.aquastars.co.uk/
