Hi All

This may sound like a sill question but.. If I wear open heel fins and
boots, how far up my foot should the back of the fin go to?

I think I might have bought open heel fins designed for wearing without
boots, as if I put my boots on with them, the back of the fin is only about
3/4 of the way toward my heel. Does that sound right??

cheers

No. Prepare to get blisters around your foot - especially on the medial
side - if you wear these without boots. It can be done (I used to do it) but
it takes a few weeks of daily wear to form the required callouses.

yes that that's ok, different fins fit to different lengths along the bottom
of the foot, I have sever pairs of fins which end before my heel. when I use
them just for swimming I put on a pair of wet suit boots also handy for
walking down the beach giving some protection.
