I can't recommend enough for anyone to take this chance if they
can...it's a fabulous dive site and a holiday to remember. I'm
jealous but family life....

If only I had the confidence, I have the qualifications but in my 60's
I cannot keep up with the youngsters so I content myself with reading
this group.

Why? Diving isn't normally all that strenuous an exercise (I turned 59 last
week).

Hi Lee, it's not a matter of physical fitness, it a loss of confidence
in myself. I feel that if I am no longer sure of my own skills in
diving, i.e. I won't dive in bad weather whereas before, I would dive
in anything. How can my buddy feel safe with me? Diving is so
enjoyable but not if the person you are diving with (me) is not as
confident as you would like.
Years ago, I brought up an unconscious diver from 35 metres, towed and
gave him breaths until I reached the boat and then did CPR until the
boat reached the mainland. Thank God he survived and he is now a
doctor. However, I'm not too sure he could depend on me today.
