Assuming there's anyone still out there, I've got spaces on the
following trips:

Plymouth 19/20 May, on Seeker, max depth 35m, 6 spaces
Weymouth 30 June/1st July, on RJRW, max depth 60m, 5 spaces
Weymouth 25-27th August, on RJRW, max depth 60m, 5 spaces

A bit more detail on wrecks we're going to do etc is on
http://www.scuba-addict.co.uk/trips2007.html

See the website for my contact details.

Jason, as I posted ,it is some time since I dived but BSAC don't
recommend the depths you mention, do you dive on Helium?  It may be
that I am hopelessly out of date.

It was just a prod at the "we don't say you can do it so you are not
allowed" mentality promoted by some organisations.

Sorry but I couldn't resist it.  I hope you took it in the spirit that
was intended :o)

Of course I did, one day it would be great to dive with lads like you
lot.

It's not all trimix and rebreathers you know.  My GF passes her OW
tomorrow and I am really looking forward to seeing the huge grin on
her face when she does her first wreck or on the trip to the Red Sea
we are planning in September.

The only down side is that she is on a single which means I have to
take a side slung on *every* dive just in case.  I still prefer that
to OC because I am not sure how I would be on it these days - probably
a right gas hoover ;o)

I only dived with a single too.  I hope you both have a great trip.

Well telling us that BSAC doesn't recommend something when all that has been
posted is a bunch of proposed dive trips is, at minimum, tactless.

Jason has been arranging trips and inviting ukrs subscribers for about ten years
and his record for bringing everybody back is rather good. I don't think he needs
to spell out that if you want to book on a trip to X meters you need to be equipped
and capable to X meters.

Anyhow. I have a sticker in my QRB recognising an outside qualification to that
depth so I guess we have to go with your first suggestion

>> It may be that I am hopelessly out of date

BSAC, once desperately reactionary, is now rather good at staying up with
diving practices and recognising outside qualifications. I like the way that
'pre-qualified' people come into my branch and we can great them with
"A diver? Come diving with us".

Even "Come 60m diving with us"

Nigel, no offence meant my dear.  For me it is rather like learning to
walk again and all I am looking for is to use your knowledge and
expertise so that I can gain.  If I make a faux pax, it is not
intended to be tactless, just put it down to my ignorance.

We had a skin bend on that trip too, didn't we?

Didn't you organise Scapa? That was much more eventful.

Oh but they do... and even offer courses in it!

Have a look at Sports Mixed Gas and Advanced Mixed Gas. We even promote
those big yellow boxes these days too...

Thank you for the link Ben, it's amazing how things have changed since
I got my qualifications but then everything moves on.  I would love to
join Jason and his gang but I'm afraid he would not take me now as I
am too rusty.

Kind regards

Judith
