Would like to say early/mid September. As that's when I'm up there.

Last year we did scapa in april. Great viz on the Tabarka and James
Barrie. The viz on the big seven was about 3 to 5 meters. Not that
great. After talking to a few local operators the general conclusion
was that the great viz season tends to shift a bit back every year.
My suggestion....go somewhere from may up to september/october with
the greatest viz around september.

Have fun,

Ron

We went the second week of September in 2006, our first visit.  Our first
dive, on one of the big seven in the flow, had 15 - 20m vis; stunning.
Hanging off the bow of the wreck in open water we could see aft past the
forward guns; incredible.  Unfortunately this decreased a bit during the
week (although still perfectly acceptable) and we lost one days diving to
gales and big seas.  However, we would happily go again in September.

Good luck, the diving there is outstanding.

Cheers,

M
