Hi Guys,

I've been messing around and developed an online dive log.

It's completely free, so if you fancy keeping your dive details in a
private place online then please take a look at the site.

I still have many plans for features I'd like to implement and as
Christmas is coming up I should have plenty of time to add them. If
there's anything you think is missing, or anything you think would be
better changed then please let me know.

It's still early on in the development of the site so any feedback you
can offer would be a great help.

The address is www.mydivelog.eu.

Feel free to email me or respond to this posting.

Many thanks,
Dave.

Interesting idea.  If it takes off, this could be a useful resource in
future years to document the changing nature of various commonly dived
locations.  Temperature and weather statistics can better help divers
plan trips to new locations.

May I suggest some kind of import utility for uploading existing
electronic dive logs in common formats, e.g. Datatrak.

Hi,

That's a great idea. I hadn't thought of exposing the temperature and
weather statistics. I'll look into doing that.

I'll try and get hold of some logs to test implementing an import
option, but if you have any sample logs handy and you could email me
them then that'd be a great help.

Thanks for your suggestions,
Dave.

Hi David

You might find a few of the links on this page useful...

http://members.aol.com/GLorensen/divecomp.html

There's links to a couple of documents that detail the log data formats for
Suunto and Aladin computers. Bear in mind that this information is probably
not up to date - it almost certainly won't cover the newer Aladin 'Tec'
style computers...
