Could anyone tell me of any good dive sites in the lake Windermere area as I
plan to visit the area later this summer.

Try Hodge Close. Been there a few times and enjoyed it each time,
particularly the shallow cavern (about 7m deep with a few meters of
air space above the water). It's quite safe and you get a real feel
of cave diving (be the first one in for best vis). Entry is a bit
tricky (sit down and push off is best) and swim underwater to the
other end where the exit is easy. Get a good torch and its best to go
with someone who has done it before if your unsure. Avoid the other
cave system. Vis is usually excellent.
