hurgada to sharm, 3 days in sharm Can anyone give me any advice.

Safe?
What are you frightened of?
Flying?
Diving?
Being bitten by a camel?

London is more dangerous.

Well, the plane could crash, the terrorists could bomb you, the boat could
sink, the gas could asphyxiate you, and the food could poison you. All these
things have actually happened, so on that basis it definitely isn't safe,
but what's the alternative? Spend the rest of your life wrapped in cotton
wool and never get out of bed?

Go to Egypt and enjoy it! Watch the sun rise over the statues of Rameses II
at Abu Simbel. Explore the temples of Abydos and Denderah. Climb inside the
pyramid of Cheops. Dive the Red Sea. You'll have an unforgettable holiday.

Cliff.

Well,

Cliff certainly is not one to hold back and knows how to make the best
of a diving trip...

No,  just "Is it safe" repeated ad infinitum.

Hi!

I think its safe(ish).
I worked in Egypt for 2 years and have been back since about 5 times as
a tourist. The ancient stuff in around Cairo / Luxor is amazing - truly
world class. Luxor having more sights than Cairo and being less
polluted (air pollution - like any big third world city is a problem in
Cairo - mainly from the traffic).
Further south like Aswan is excellent too. Although Abu Simbel itself
is quite a long way from anywhere (unless you fly?).

The logistics may be simpler if you go to Hurghada rather than Sharm as
you can get buses/coaches between the two (or if you don't mind paying
then you can obviously fly from Luxor to Sharm with Egypt air).

I prefer the diving in Sharm personally, but there are a lot of people
who believe that Hurghada is better than Sharm - either way the diving
is great and there is plenty of night life at both locations too.

So go for it. Holiday of a lifetime. Spend two weeks if you can rather
than one.

Jules.
